About the project

The Petite Maison Mécanique is a self-contained musical installation, a wooden cabin housing an orchestra of sound objects that come to life and interact with one another. These performer-objects are both ready-mades and prepared kinetic sculptures.

More

Much like a barrel organ, the score is directed by a mechanical sequencer—a drum that controls and distributes electricity to set the various elements in motion, timing the objects' actions to perform a three-part composition: percussion, bass, and melody.
