Performance hubs scattered throughout the Old Port of Quebec, filmed live and reassembled as a projection on the facades of the Caserne Saint-Nicolas.

About the project

Various performance hubs are spread across an area adjacent to the Caserne Saint-Nicolas in the Old Port district of Quebec City. They feature a variety of vehicles, containers, machines, and makeshift shacks, inhabited by seemingly isolated beings, each busy with their own tasks.

More

The various actions taking place are filmed individually and reassembled into a large-scale projection on the facades of the Caserne Saint-Nicolas, like the rooms of a house seen through its walls. The sound from each hub is also captured and redirected to a listening area. As you wander through, between cacophony and moments of great communion, you realize that each action is actually contributing to the performance of a single musical piece.
