TRI believes that everything is just waiting to be truly seen. A teapot, a bicycle wheel, an old piano keyboard—they all hold dormant potential, a life we haven't yet taken the time to uncover. Our work is often about giving them the chance to reveal it. TRI likes to believe that the ordinary world is full of these kinds of encounters with the marvelous, and that sometimes all it takes is a wire, a motor, or a little bit of attention for an object to start breathing like a living thing.
TRI is a multidisciplinary production company based in Quebec City, active for over ten years. Founded by artists Philippe Lessard Drolet, Bruno Bouchard, and Pascal Robitaille, the company works at the intersection of performing arts, scenography, and celebration, bringing together sound, image, objects, engineering, and live performance into a unified creative approach.
TRI accepts donations via an online form, accessible from the Support TRI section of the website. Every donation contributes directly to the creation and presentation of new projects.
Yes. Under the name Les Nuits Rêvées, TRI designs bespoke artistic events to celebrate a community, a company, or an organization. It is neither a gala nor a cocktail party: it is an immersive happening that transforms a space into an artistic playground, brought to life by performances, living tableaux, and installations that unfold simultaneously over several hours. TRI co-creates a narrative universe with the partner, tailored to the venue, the occasion, and local artists, to deliver an original corporate celebration that breaks away from traditional formats.
Place Dis oui is a public space reactivated by TRI in the Saint-Roch neighborhood of Quebec City. Since 2020, TRI has been conducting research on urban biodiversity there and hosting a free summer program, featuring artist residencies, herbalism workshops, and neighborhood block parties.
For TRI, theater is an open concept: it is not performed solely with a script on a stage. The word instead represents the idea of writing multi-dimensional projects, of sculpting space through time. This vision translates into installations as well as performances and happenings, blurring the lines between theater, music, dance, and the visual arts. TRI is known for its work with machines and mechanized objects, as well as for the art of inhabiting a space and bringing different fields, audiences, and generations together within it.
