Place Dis oui

Since 2020, we have been based at Les Ateliers de la Caserne, located at 19 Rue St-Nicolas. From our windows, we overlook a large, neglected, and vacant park. This site, which has been teeming with life for over 2,000 years (traces of stakes and hearths dating back to 975 BCE have been discovered here), had been abandoned. Through the civic engagement we are fostering at Place dis oui, we aim to bring social life back to this space.

Place dis oui, as we have named it, serves as a laboratory and a space for sharing with the general public. This project aims to put our artistic practice to work for ecological causes—not just through discourse, but by taking concrete action in the face of the ecological and identity crisis we are experiencing. Since the summer of 2021, we have been conducting research on cultural biodiversity and its urban fertility in this space, including planting native wildflowers, managing wild meadows and beehives, and revitalizing community and civic engagement through the Places éphémères program.
